This serum from Hada Labo’s whitening range was updated in March 2016. It is designed to moisturize the skin and fight pigmentation (freckles, age spots, acne scars, overall yellowish skin tone).
The serum is labeled as medicated, which means that it contains the level of active ingredients defined by Japanese law to ensure the effect of cosmetics.
Hada-Labo Shirojyun Premium Whitening Essence contains two active ingredients for anti-pigmentation action: a stable derivative of vitamin C and arbutin. These ingredients fight and prevent pigmentation by suppressing excess melanin production in the skin.
The serum also contains antioxidant-rich extracts of Japanese dyeberry and laburnum flowers to soothe and improve skin condition.
Hyaluronic acid and collagen keep the skin moisturized.
The serum has a light, watery texture like a clear lotion. It easily penetrates the skin and is quickly absorbed without leaving a sticky or greasy residue.
Contains no fragrances, colorants, mineral oils or alcohol.
How to use: use morning and evening after applying lotion. Apply to the entire face or on problem areas prone to pigmentation.
